Necker Island

Our boutique private island resort features a world-class oceanside spa, five fine and casual food and beverage outlets, a beach club, and a calendar of exceptional activities on land and on sea. Welcome to Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson’s private island paradise in the British Virgin Islands, a stunning and unspoiled area of the Caribbean. At 74 acres, Necker Island sits in turquoise waters surrounded by coral reefs, fringed with beautiful white sandy beaches and is home to the most spectacular wildlife. The landscaping and planting along with seating in The Island’s garden has been carefully planned and adapted over the years so you’ll always find a sheltered spot to relax in.

  • Before booking, many of our past castaways are initially worried this might be all hardship and no fun.
  • So with the space and freedom to do everything, or nothing – our enchanting archipelago guarantees a magical, unforgettable experience.
  • We are proud of our unique place and deep roots in our communities.
  • The two other stylishly finished bedrooms are at each end of the ground floor, and each enjoys a view of the garden at its respective end of the house.
  • We take care of the ‘experiential safety net’ allowing you to thrive on a desert island.

This beautiful beach is very popular with both families and surfers, as it is located in the centre of Newquay, and it can be lively during the peak summer months. Lifeguard cover runs from May to September and dogs are allowed all year round. The Blue Reef Aquarium, right by the beach, is well worth a visit. At low tide you can walk all the way across the beach to the traditional Cornish harbour, where you can find an excellent crab sandwich or ice cream.

Our expeditions walk the tight rope of challenge and fun leaving you with both the feeling that you had an amazing time but also achieved something incredible. Rescue arrives by speed boat laden with treats for your return to the hotel. After the best shower of your life and a marvel at white bed sheets we head out for a 3-course meal and survival celebration and try to put the past 10 days into words. Normally our castaways stick together for the final 3 days, however, for those seeking the ultimate test of solitude as well, you can undertake a solo package on your own beach/island. This is limited to one space per trip and normally sells out pretty quickly.
